After his mother died, Hitler decided to try to join the Austrian army. However, he failed the medical exam, they said he was "too weak to carry artillery". So, he crossed the German borders and tried to join their army. They obviously disagreed with Austria, because he passed the medical and became a soldier, and he loved it. He reached "corporal" in rank. Once the war was over, the Nazi party began to form.
